Hazardous materials: issues of detection and disposal 2010
On 12-13.05.2010 in Kościerzyna was held international conference “Hazardous materials: issues of detection and disposal” organized by EOD Technicians Training Centre at “JAKUSZ” company and Military Institute of Technical Engineering. The event was attended by over 70 representatives of civilian and military institutions as well as commercial companies dealing with mine action from 10 countries of the world.
Poland was been represented by MoD, the Land Forces Command, National Labour Inspectorate, the Institute of Organic Industry, the State Forests, the Military Institute of Armour & Automotive Technology, the Naval Academy.
Among the foreign guests were representatives of United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS), Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) from Switzerland, Thailand Minie Action Center, EOD Technology from USA, the Royal Military Academy from Belgium, company Forpost Baltiki plus responsible for mine clearance of Gulf of Finland from Russia.
Producers or distributors of devices designed for detection, transport and demilitarization of explosives presented their products during the exhibition “New technologies of detection and disposal of hazardous materials” accompanying the conference.
Honorary guest of the conference was Col. Jerzu Rutkowski.
