Vist of the Marshal of Pomeranian Province
On 20.01.2012 the Marshal of Pomeranian Province Mr. Mieczysław Struk, together with the accompanying delegation visited the most dynamic companies in our region. Among them was the JAKUSZ company.
Our company, in addition to unusual activity, is characterized by innovation of offered solutions based entirely on the Polish technological thought and execution. All installations are designed by young staff of engineers educated by Polish universities.
During the visit of the Marshall we presented the latest our achievements and products. Among them were two explosion containment vessels for safe transport of explosives to 5kg of TNT equivalent - gastight vessel on a trailer designed to intervene in the event of bomb threats and ventilated container for rapid isolation of suspect baggage from the area of the airport, which in a few weeks will be used at the airport in Gdansk.
Also was presented the production line for explosives storage container (KMMW). The depot is designed to safe store up to 50 kg of hazardous materials. Currently are realizing a large delivery of KMMW to the Polish army.
Strong interest of Mr. Marshall aroused the installations for the safe disposal of hazardous materials such as detonation chamber Andromeda and the vacuum installation for disposal of ammunition by detonation method Jowisz 2.
While discussing the above installations we talked also about fundraising assistance for the implementation of research projects aimed at developing new technologies. Owing to the EU funds under the Innovative Economy Programme was developed detonation chamber which is very popular among our customers. Currently the company is trying to raise funds for the development of next installation designed for disposal of hazardous materials.
The owner of the company, Mr. Bogdan Jakusz, also stressed that during designing of new devices very important is a protection of the environment. All installations for the disposal of hazardous materials are equipped with pollution abatement systems (post-detonation gases treatment). One of directions of the company's development is also the possibility of recovery of heat generated in the process of disposal.
Then we presented solutions and services offered by Jakusz company in field of protection against electromagnetic attack, as well as EOD Technicians Training Centre operating at the company, which, in addition to training activities, is also involved in the Vistula Spit and Vistula Lagoon international demining project.
